How to download and use OneDrive on Android devices!
Locate and open the Google Play Store.
It will generally be in the home screen of your phone.
The name will say Play Store.
Once the Play Store is opened, navigate to the top search bar and type in OneDrive .
After searching for OneDrive, you’ll see the correct application that is named Microsoft OneDrive . Press Install to being the installation process.
You may be prompted to enter your Google email account. If so, simply enter the login information to download the application.
Once the installation process is done, you’ll see that it is installed and then tap on the Open button on the right to open the application.
NOTE: Ensure to move the OneDrive application to your home screen for easy access if you'd like.
In the OneDrive login menu, you’ll be asked to either Sign In , No Account? Create One! or Skip to my photos .
For this case, please tap on Sign In.
Enter your Microsoft email, then press on the gray arrow to continue.
Now, you will be prompted to enter your password, please enter your password then press Sign In.
Once your logged in, you’ll be in the Home tab. You will be able to see all of your recent files that has been opened from previous devices.
On the top left, you will see a blue suitcase icon. If you press on it, you’re able to change the OneDrive accounts based on the linked Microsoft accounts.
In order to create a new file or folder, navigate to the top of the application and press on the “+” icon. As you can see, you are able to scan, create folder and upload. Moreover, there is also another option for taking a photo(similar to scan), creating a Word document and the option to create a PowerPoint presentation.
On the Home screen, you can see at the bottom 5 tabs named Home, Files, Shared, Libraries and Me.
Home: Your home screen which shows your most recent opened files.
Files: This tab shows all of your saved files and documents with in your OneDrive.
Shared: This tab shows all of the shared files and documents that others has shared with you.
Libraries: This tab shows the linked libraries from your SharePoint.
Me: Lastly, this tab shows your account preferences. Here you can look at any photos, files that are available offline.
