Ring Application (Mobile)

General Navigation

  1. Dashboard
    1. Opening the Ring App will automatically place you in the Dashboard tab.

    2. At the top of the Dashboard tab:

      1. There’s a dropdown menu (with your address) to change between different locations.

      2. There’s a shopping cart where you can purchase Ring products.

      3. There’s a Snooze option and you can choose how long to snooze your devices (ie. 2 hours)

    3. Below, there will be options for your Ring cameras:

      1. Disarmed: No sensors in your home will be monitored and no alerts will be sent to the monitoring station

      2. Home: Your outside cameras and doorbells are activated, but motion sensors inside your home are deactivated because you will be inside.

      3. Away: Can be used to secure your home or business when you’re leaving or no one is there.

    4. Cameras

      1. As you scroll down in the Dashboard tab, you will see all operational Ring devices showing a live feed.

Devices

  1. In the Dashboard tab, tap the 3 lines on the top left, then tap the Devices tab.

  2. Once inside the Devices tab, you can see all of your Ring products as well as suggested devices the more you scroll down.

  3. There are 2 buttons to add devices:

    1. First is on the top right of the page with a ‘+’ icon.

    2. Next, will be at the at the bottom of the screen that says Set Up a Device.

  4. Tapping on a camera will direct you to the cameras settings in which you are able to customize however you want the camera to function. This setting includes setting

    1. Motion detection/alerts
    2. Motion settings
    3. Event history
    4. Device settings

Settings

  1. In the Dashboard tab, tap the 3 lines on the top left, then tap the Settings tab.

  2. Inside the Settings tab, there is

    1. Protect Plan Settings

    1. Location Settings: You’re able to give your cameras modes to be able to capture as you wish.
    2. Location details: Here you can edit the name and address of the location.

  3. If needed, you care able to delete the location.

Protect Plan

Ring Protect is a subscription that gives you access to paid features for Ring devices such as video for doorbells, cameras, alarm and car cam. With a Ring Protect plan, you’re able to save, review and share video recordings. Without a Ring Protect Plan, you can still see real-time video although you wont be able to see previous recorded events.

    2. Subscription starts at $4.99/month or $49.99 annually.
  2. Plus (Recommended by Ring):
    1. This feature allows video recording for all Ring doorbell(s) and home cameras at one location.
    2. Subscription starts at $10/month or $100 annually.
